A 6mm spacer lifts the gantry to the exact height to line up with the holes, and working on a flat surface ensures that the gallery will be approximately square with the guide rails. With the Tee Bar Allen key it is fairly easy to align the captive bolt central with the hole so that the bold is gripping equally on both sides of the rail slot.

The holes in the Taig stepper motors needed to be opened a little to fit them with the metric bolts provided.

Z Axis Mounted

Even with the ball end Allen keys, gaining access to the six bolts is a little tricky, but by winding the Z Axis down to the table and fitting the 6mm spacer ( although a 25mm one may be more appropriate ) the Z Axis becomes a lot easier to keep square to the table and the gantry block. It is anticipated that little fine adjustment will be needed to square up the Z Axis.

The three pairs need to align with the holes visible in the gantry block.
