Lifting off the bed allows the cutter to drop deeper through the material, but leaves a problem with alignment. Front edge is aligned with the left hole, and then the right hole is spotted and the panel twisted square before clamping down.

By using the setscrew panel, the back edge of the box can be kept square to the X axis.

Had to make the connections on the side of the box and it only just fits under the mill head.
