HARDWARE & Software updates

Some people may have noticed a problem was week with the main server at 1 and 1. Fortunately the backup actually worked and some people even ordered via that route, but the main machine needed a full re-image which took some time. Since the contract on that machine was a year old, we have taken the opportunity to upgrade to a new bigger faster machine and also have tidied up the software further.
There may be some disruption to email and the like as 1 and 1 do not have an automatic way to switch that bit of the jigsaw, but the old machine will be switched off by next week end.
The bitcommerce shop that we have been talking about for a couple of years now is reaching a point where we hope to go live with it very soon.
