New style scales with USB connector

Having had some of the new style scales with USB connectors in, I''ve found a couple more things out. While we had established that these scale still produce 1.5V signals despite the  voltage battery, powering then from the DRO was though problematic. The latest scales simply work with a 1.5V supply. So with USB cables, and the DRO set to 1.5 volts, both the 550 and 375's just work. For the 350 we have a little bit of fun since we need the BIN8 conversion dongle, but also need to provide the right power supplys. The easiest thing to maintain in-line operation has been to add a 1.5V regulator on the dongle, and just power it from 5V. This works fine with the dongle inside or outside the box, but I still have to produce a PCB for this dongle, current builds are hand wired on vero board!
