Links to external sources of material that I should not publish myself
- Cadogan Gardens, London, SW3 - Images of building exteriors taken from Google Streetview and other sites ... need to record the actual links in future!
1 Cadogan Gardens - Close match for one side of the miniature. - Wightwick Manor, West Midlands - Victorian ‘Old English’ style country house built between 1887 and 1893. Fitted with electric light and has a nice kitchen range which looks ideal as a model. Other rooms in the house may provide ideas for finishes, but the National Trust site does not have many images. Get directed to sites selling pictures at silly prices so need a visit to take my own.
Outside is rather different to Cadogen Gardens but still worth a visit. Upper floor closed until 3/3/2025 but may still be worth a visit before then.
Wightwick Bank, Wolverhampton, West Midlands, WV6 8EE -
Audley End House - Cooking range and shelving (Colection of images - mainly kitchen garden, but a few of the kitchen)
While the house dates from centuries earlier, the kitchen area was ‘modernised’ in the 1860 and pictures show a setup similar to many houses at that time with another range example. -
