Old Small LCD Backlight

While the large display used with the Tacho kit uses a direct 5V supply, the smaller displays had a number of supply options. The one that we now have available simply needs a 3.3 ohm resistor to drop the voltage correctly.

Pins 15 and 16 appear at the wrong end of the connector strip, but a simple link from 1 to 16 provides the earth, while the 3R3 resistor can be looped from 15 to pin 2 as shown. Just to add to the fun some manufacturers swap the pin numbers around on these two pins. On the large display pin 15 is next to pin 1.
