A lot of my time is being taken up by simply trying to stand still on the software side. I've made major progress moving bitweaver over from PHP7.3 which this server is running to PHP8.4 which is the current build. Lots of stuff has to change and while in theory one can simply hid the nannying, what were simply warnings some time ago are now firm errors. I have always adopted the stance that any messages will simply be displayed and then I can address them promptly. I received the latest Dalek delivery over a week ago and still have not actually opened the packages, but I did photograph them! The only problem was when I came to upload ... crash ... and no immediate explanation. Since I was fast approaching testing this area on the development machine I put it on the back burner. Then when trying to load the same pictures on the clone site I got the same crash. Interesting. Since I can more easily debug on the development setup a quick check of the logs soon pointed out nginx was having problems handling the initial upload as it could not access the tmp directory, yet it had been working. I've not found a notification that this area had been changed, but checking the production machine this morning I found the same problem. A quick reset of the access settings and we are back in business, so NOW I can display the mags received and can relax into actually completing the supplied parts.
Got a trip to the doctors to fit in then perhaps I can play later.
Taken a couple of days, but I've now completed the next four parts and have a rotating dome and a seat for the alien that will arrive with the next set of parts.
This one may need some work to get it showing on the website since it's a short video clip of the dome rotating. Only one direction currently but all the motors fitted so far have been tested with this simple on/off battery pack. A reverse switch is perhaps something I could add myself! I have enough suitable switches.

Actually just click on the white block and it will play, so all that is missing is thumbnails from the clip. On the todo list for the website upgrade ...
