Lesters TODO List
Where I am today with projects I would like to get on with.

In the last 5 years a lot of my property has gone missing, so I need to sort out just what I do have left and what I need to do to progress those projects that I do have the parts necessary to progress them. I am currently living in a retirement flat in Evesham and what is left of the equipment and parts salvaged from the last storage container are stored in a unserviced garage over in Pershore as none was available in Evesham. Many of the jobs that I would like to do will be a problem doing them on the table in the flat, so I may need to sort an alternative work location.
- A3 CNC Router Table
Computer working and driver pack has been located but no power at the current storage location to run everything up - Taig CNC Micromill
As for 1. Ideally need this working to complete parts for other jobs but will be too noisy to run up in the flat. - 3D Extruding Printer
A lot more practical to get working in the flat. Starting point is to rebuild the software stack that produces the NC code to run it. - FreeCAD
Basis for producing NC code for the above three machines as well as CAD models for all of the projects. - Divisionmaster product
There are some finished units in store and parts to build some more. First step is to pull together all of the components to build some more. There should be kits already finished but I have not found them. I do have PCB's and Cases for the base unit and worse case I can buy parts that are not already in stock. Hopefully however the bulk of the componets are in boxes in the store already just needing to be found. - CNC product
Not sure at this stage I have the resources to build further CNC controllers which used the Chester 3in1 Mill that I no longer have access to. The lathe function on that also allowed processing parts for the rotary table couplings for the Divisionmaster kit so some way of replacing that is another todo list problem. - Taig stock
Starting point here is to catalogue the parts that I do have. Most of these are in the one place so this just needs time to carry it out, but there should be additional parts in boxes that have yet to be sorted through. - Flying Scotsman
Hatchette Partworks collection of 125 magazines. The bulk of the parts were stored in a plastic biscuit box and I knew that the diecast chassis had gone missing, but I managed to purchase that on-line. All the parts have been sorted and are filed with their associated magazine at which time I realised that a second larger part was also missing, the plastic body of the tender. This it seems is gold dust with lost of people looking to find one. There is some information as to it's dimensions and it is plastic, so hopefully a job for the 3D printer at some point. - Cadogan Gardens Dolls House
I have both house and basement which was a present back in 2004 and I am fairly happy that all of the parts are still together. The house is still in it's original boxes, but the base was started on and while I was a little concerned that some parts were missing, James had put them all into a plastic box which turned up more recently. There is a build diary on youtube of someone else building the kit up having bought and unopened kit back in 2022 and I have her videos archived to help. - Ascot Dolls House
This is a smaller and simpler dolls house that was intended to practice on. It was also intended as a place to display furniture and fixtures and try things out. While a lot of the kit is present, some panels are missing and will need to be replaced. Given that it is a lot simpler to finish and it is only flat 3mm panels it may be worth starting this before moving to Cadogan Gardens. It WILL allow me to practice processes at least, and some finishes. - Various feature projects for dolls houses
Smaller projects are easier to manage in the flat, and a lot of furniture is ready built. This is probably better for the Ascot than Cadogan Gardens, but anything to fill rooms initially. There is also a lot of scale tapestry work and I would like all of the floor coverings to be real fabric rather than printed. Occupants for both houses also need finishing in some cases. - Victory Model Boat
Another long term project, and one I thought was not going to happen as the kit was one of the items that was not to be found when I had finished sorting through. It's a big box so not easy to miss, so it was missing. eBay came to help here and an unused kit appeared at the time I was looking and is now here waiting to be addressed at some point in the future. At least the kit for the building board was still around so that saved a little money. - Scottish Maid Model Boat
As with the main dolls house, a smaller kit to practice on prior to moving on to Victory - 3" Scale Burrell Traction Engine
This is a project that has been going backwards and I may be better off selling the parts that I do have left as I don't have the machinery to start the next jobs on it. The boiler and it's all important paperwork are here. Built by Bells Boilers back in 2002 it is still sound and has no machining to date. Also still here are a complete set of gears, but they have surface rust which is annoying as they had been kept dry in the garage for years. There were a complete set of parts for the wheels and Lou Rex had promised to convert them into a set of wheels but I do not expect them to appear now. That just leaves the hornplates and other parts to but the main body together along with the cylinder block. There is a tender body which was part of the original parts I purchased. This should be able to be restored and completed - hopefully. I will photograph all these parts at some point. - 5" Gauge Springbok
Another long term project at was acquired many lears ago. There is a running chassis which just needs stripping and repainting, but a certified boiler is going to be a substantial purchase on a potentially long leadtime? Is there any value just selling this on? - Other electronic kits
There are parts for various other products that Model Engineer's Digital Workshop used to supply along with kit that L.S.Caine Electronic Services provided as part of the Enquirysolve Caller Management Systems that at one time were used in hundereds of council/government offices around the country. These need sorting to see if any of the kit remaining has some value and can be sold on.
