Welcome to the Model Engineers Digital Workshop

For personal reasons I am going to be out of reach for a while so am unable to process orders. Hopefully I will be back before too long.

GDPR may have been put in place two years ago, but with all the other things we have to manage finding time to add more jobs is somewhat difficult. The bottom line is that we have always taken the attitude that private information remains private, and we have never 'gathered personal data' for any reason. We simply correspond with clients and deal with their requests, but as a result we now have many years worth of email correspondence along with invoices and manufacturing data relating any products we have supplied. In many cases we have archives of email lists in which the same clients have also posted material and which we can review when appropriate. Rather than adding to the torrent of emails currently clogging up our email boxes, asking if we can retain this material we will continue our policy of only ever contacting clients in response to new correspondence from them. Certainly the current practice of cold emailing with requests when there has not actually been any previous contact using 'GDPR' as the excuse is the sort of discourtesy that it was intended to prevent? As always, if anybody has any problem with interaction with Model Engineers Digital Workshop, simply email and we will endeavour to sort it out.

We have finally managed to complete a full ELS system and there are even good signs that bringing Taig mills over from the States will be easier next year, even if the two boxes arrive days apart. So watch this space in the new year.

Must update the website a little more often! Most kits are back in stock, and we have a few new pictures on the installation gallery.

The Model Engineers Digital Workshop is the home of all things electronic for the Model Engineer. CNC drivers and interfaces along with stand alone packages such as the DivisionMaster rotary table controller and the Shumatech Digital Readout Displays form the base on which we plan to develop a more complete range of products. The next kit which needs more complete development is the Electronic Lead Screw, which needs to be packaged as a finished unit much like DivisionMaster.

We supply boards and kits for a number of well established tools for the workshop, and are building the site into a repository for all the information necessary to support that. We provide a library of the relevant data sheets on the components used in the kits, and links to other related site where supporting projects can be found.

In support of the main components, a range of smaller kits and finished assemblies allow a customer to cherry pick just the elements they need or go for a fully packaged system such as the fully CNCed Mill-in-a-box. Full support is provided to get a client to a fully working system and return to based, or on site support can be provided against evrything we provide.
